Erik Hulslander

Erik Hulslander is a musician, engineer, producer, and sound designer from Seattle, WA currently residing in Denver, CO.

Erik grew up in a very musical household with a focus on theater and live production. In high school he moved from the stage to the recording booth and began focusing on production, mixing, and live sound. He graduated from Shoreline College with honors and a degree in Audio Engineering before transferring to the University of Colorado where he tested into the advanced recording program as a junior.

Erik has been an engineer at the internationally known Soundhouse Recording Studio in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA.  At Soundhouse, he had the opportunity to work with and study under legendary recording engineer and producer Jack Endino.

Education

Erik started sequencing on an Atari 800 at the tender age of 8.  After pursing traditional instrumentation, he returned to the studio in 1994 while in high school.  From there, Erik advanced out of Shorecrest High and straight into college where he continued to pursue a degree in Digital Audio.  He now holds an Associates in Applied Arts and Science in Digital Audio (with honors), an Associates in Applied Arts and Sciences in Music Business and Merchandising (with honors), and a Bachelors of Science in Music (Summa Cum Laude).

Erik is already planning his Masters in Music Technology but has taken a break to start Hear No Evil Media.  He has participated in Pro Tools boot camps, master class recording sessions, and industry focused training seminars.
